Tater’s Tots is a small, home based early childhood program designed to combine the warmth and consistency of a home environment with the intentional learning opportunities of a preschool. Children enjoy a balance of structured activities and child led play, including early academics, creative arts, sensory and STEM experiences, outdoor and nature based learning, dramatic play, practical life activities, and opportunities to explore our classroom learning environment, including our educational aquarium. Our small group setting allows for individualized attention, strong caregiver-child relationships, mixed age learning opportunities, and plenty of room for children to explore their individual interests. Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging place where children feel known, secure, capable, and excited to learn.

- At Tater’s Tots, we believe young children learn best through play, exploration, meaningful experiences, and supportive relationships. Our approach is child centered and developmentally appropriate, with an emphasis on hands on learning rather than worksheets or long periods of teacher directed instruction. We incorporate Montessori-inspired independence, naturenbased exploration, sensory experiences, practical life skills, early literacy and math, science, art, music, and movement throughout the day. Children are encouraged to make choices, solve problems, develop confidence, and learn at their own pace while still benefiting from predictable routines and intentional teacher guidance. Because we serve a small group, we are able to know each child individually and adapt activities to their interests, abilities, and developmental needs. Social emotional development is equally important. We model empathy, communication, emotional regulation, cooperation, and respectful problem solving while providing children with a safe environment in which to grow.

Policies
- Tuition: Paid weekly in advance and due by 6:00 p.m. Monday.
- Autopay: $5 weekly discount for families enrolled in autopay.
- Drop-in care: Payment is due the same day care is provided.
- Withdrawal: Two weeks of paid notice is required, regardless of attendance during the notice period.
- Provider termination: Care may be terminated immediately when necessary to protect the safety or well-being of children or the program.
- Health & safety: Children are supervised in a safe, age-appropriate environment; staff/substitutes maintain current background checks and CPR/First Aid.
- Mandated reporting: Suspected child abuse or neglect is reported as required by law.
- Meals: The program participates in CACFP and provides meals/snacks consistent with program requirements.
- Rest time: Daily rest/nap period is approximately 1:00–3:00 p.m.
- Family communication: Families are expected to keep contact, health, authorized pickup, and other required child information current.
